Mumbai: At Reliance Industries’ 43rd AGM, the company’s chairman Mukesh Ambani announced on Wednesday that Internet giant Google will invest Rs 33,737 crore in Reliance’s Venture Jio platforms. Google will buy a 7.7 percent stake in the company by investing 33,737 crore in Jio platforms. With this, Ambani said that the company is working on 5G. The company has developed 5G network, which is the best 5G network in the world. They have announced 2G free. Under this, Jio will launch a cheap Android smartphone with Google.

Explain that Jio platforms is the digital service venture of Reliance Industries, under which telecom company Reliance Jio Platforms comes. This investment by Google is the fourteenth investment in the company since April 22. Prior to this, several private equity firms including Facebook have invested in the company.

This investment is being announced when just on Monday, Google announced that it will invest around 10 billion dollars or 70 thousand crores in the field of digital technology in India in the next 5 to 7 years.

Ambani has announced 2G free. Under this, Jio will launch a cheap Android smartphone with Google. Under this, there will be an effort to bring all 2G feature phone users on the smartphone.

At the AGM, Ambani said that the company has developed a 5G network, which is the best 5G network in the world. Jio claims that its 5G network consists entirely of home appliances. More than 20 start-ups have been assisted for this. The chairman of the group said that the technology has been developed entirely in India.
