Congress suspends 2 Pilot camp MLAs, demands FIR against Shekhawat

Jaipur: Congress on Friday suspended two MLAs from the Sachin Pilot camp — Vishvendra Singh and Bhanwarlal Sharma — from party’s primary membership and demanded the arrest of Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat for his alleged role in horse trading.

Earlier on Tuesday, the party also took away the post of cabinet minister from Vishvendra Singh. Randeep Surjewal also said that Sachin Pilot should also come forward and BJP should clear its stand on the allegations of giving the list of MLAs.

Soon after releasing a purported audio which captured alleged conversation between three people, which Congress claimed were its MLA Bhanwarlal Sharma, Union Minister Shekhawat and a Jaipur resident Sanjay Jain, the party took the step.

Addressing a press conference in Jaipur, Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala raised several demands.

“We demand FIR against Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat by SOG; a fair investigation against him and if there are proofs for misusing position (which seems so at first instance), he should be arrested immediately.

“Secondly, FIR should also be registered against Bhanwarlal Sharma, Pilot camp’s MLA and Sanjay Jain, a BJP leader, and action should be taken against them.”

Thirdly, he demanded a fair investigation into the black money coming into the state. “Who sent the money, from where it came, did it come via Hawala are issues which need to be investigated,” he said.
