New Delhi: Election Commission has announced the dates of Bihar Assembly Election-2020 on Friday in a press conference. Chief Election Commissioner Sunil Arora said the election would be held in three phases. In the first phase elections will be held in 16 districts. In the second phase, elections will be held in 17 districts. In the third phase, there will be 78 seats in 15 districts. The first phase notification will be issued on 1 October. The last date of nomination is 8 October. The first phase of voting will take place on October 28.
Sunil Arora said that 7 lakh hand sanitizers, 6 lakh PPE kits, 7.6 lakh bedsheets, 23 lakh hand globs have been arranged for Bihar Chunal. At the same time, quarantined corona patients will be able to exercise their franchise on the last day of voting. Their votes can be cast under the supervision of health officials. All polling stations will be on the ground floor. Information about the candidates has to be given on the website. Case information on candidates will be made public.
The Election Commission has said that two people can go with the candidate to file nomination. Together with the candidate, 5 people can go door-to-door campaigning.

Also, there is not too much crowd in one place, so the number of polling stations is also being increased. In the past, many parties were seeking to avoid it in view of the corona epidemic. However, the Election Commission had said that it would be done on schedule. The current term of Bihar Legislative Assembly expires on 29 November. On September 4, the Election Commission said that along with the Bihar Assembly elections, it has been decided to hold 65 pending by-elections.
