Islamabad: Pakistan’s Anti-Terrorism Court has told the Punjab Police that Masood Azhar, the leader of Jaish-e-Mohammed, declared as a global terrorist from the United Nations, should be arrested by January 18 in a terror funding case. The arrest warrant against Azhar has been issued by the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) Gujranwala.

ATC Gujranwala Judge Natasha Naseem Supra, during a hearing on Friday, directed the CTD to arrest Masood Azhar, the kingpin of Jaish-e-Mohammed, by January 18, a court official told media. gave. Azhar is facing charges of terrorist financing and dissemination of terrorist material.

Explain that earlier on Thursday, Pakistan’s Anti-Terrorism Court had issued an arrest warrant for the banned Jaish-e-Mohammed (JEM) chief Masood Azhar on charges of financing terrorism. The Gujranwala Anti-Terrorist Court (ATC) issued warrants against some members of the JEM during the hearing of the terror financing case initiated by the Punjab Police’s Anti-Terrorism Department (CTD).

ATC Gujranwala Judge Natasha Naseem Supra has issued an arrest warrant for Masood Azhar and directed the CTD to arrest him and present him in court, an official said. The CTD told the judge that the JEM chief was involved in financing the terror and that he sells jihadi literature. He said that on the request of a CTD inspector, the ATC judge issued an arrest warrant for Azhar. Azhar is believed to be hiding somewhere safe in his native city Bahawalpur.
