New Delhi: The date of hanging of the culprits of the 2012 Nirbhaya incident has been decided. Delhi’s Patiala House Court has fixed March 20 for the hanging of the four convicts. This is the last date for the hanging of Nirbhaya convicts. The four convicts Pawan Gupta, Akshay Thakur, Vinay Sharma, Mukesh will be hanged on March 20 at 5.30 am. According to court rules, all the convicts will be able to meet their lawyers.
On this latest death warrant, the counsel for the convict AP Singh said that the convicts have been killed four times. How many times the culprits will be judicial killed. The CRPC says that it cannot be killed more than once. He said that state-sponsored assassination cannot be done. AP Singh said that they are not terrorists and are improving themselves by staying in jail. He said that there is still a legal option left.
Nirbhaya’s mother Asha Devi expressed happiness at the court’s order. She said that now these convicts can adopt any other approach to avert the execution. Everything has an end and they will be hanged on a new date. I will not give up until the culprits are hanged. Every moment I am ready to fight. Now these convicts will not get relief. My victory will be on the day when these four convicts are hanged.
