New Delhi: Teen environmental activist Greta Thunberg and international pop sensation Rihanna have extended their support to India’s farmers who are protesting against the Centre’s agricultural laws at the borders of Delhi, while condemning the internet ban in and around Delhi.

The world’s popular environmental activist and Nobel Peace Prize nominee Greta Thanberg tweeted in support of the ongoing farmers’ movement in India. 18-year-old Greta Thunberg, an environmental activist living in Sweden, tweeted that we stand in solidarity with the demonstration of farmers in India. Greta’s tweet has been tweeted by more than 30 thousand Twitter users around the world. Apart from this, thousands of people have shared it by taking screenshots.

Indeed, Rihanna in one of her tweets criticized shutting down the internet at the venue. She tweeted with a CNN article, “Why aren’t we talking about it? Hashtag Farmers Movement. “Let us know that Rihanna has around 10 crore followers on Twitter from many countries around the world.

In such a situation, soon after Rihanna’s tweet, the tweet about the farmer movement on social media was flooded. People started criticizing the Narendra Modi government of India by tweeting and retweeting about the farmers who were protesting.
