New Delhi: Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi termed the military-level talks on Chinese military incursions as meaningless and termed it a waste of time and said that it had jeopardized national security.
Mr. Gandhi tweeted on Monday, “Chinese military occupation of Gogra-Hotspot Spring and Depsang Plains poses a direct threat to India’s strategic interests as well as to the DBO airstrip. National security has been severely ruptured by the government’s reckless negotiations. We are able to do better than that. ”
The Congress surrounded the government on reports of breaking the Chinese Army’s promise of peace on the China border, accusing it of strategically surrendering to China on the border and compromising with national security. He said that according to media reports, the Chinese army is not retreating from several posts of strategic importance on the border. During the last round of talks between the Chinese Army and the Indian Army in this regard on April 9, the Chinese Army has refused to retreat from several outposts of strategic importance.
