New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday indirectly targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi after several rotten corpses were found in the Ganges river in several cities of Uttar Pradesh. Rahul Gandhi tweeted in Hindi and said, “The one who said Ganga has called him, has made the Mother Ganga cry.”
He also attached a news report which claimed that around 2,000 bodies were found on the 1,140 km long bank of the river Ganges. In the last few days, bodies have been found floating in the river or buried near its banks in several districts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
