Jaipur: In Chittorgarh, Rajasthan, a person was lynched for allegedly smuggling cows. While the condition of the other remains critical. The victim is a resident of Achalpur in Madhya Pradesh. This incident happened late on Sunday night.
Two people were in the vehicle carrying the cows. When he reached a place called Begu with a car, the mob surrounded him and started beating them both on charges of cow smuggling. Babulal Bhil died on the way to the hospital due to the beating of the mob, while the other has been admitted to the hospital in an injured condition, where his condition also remains critical.
Rajasthan Police has detained some people in this connection. Additional Director General of Police Crime Ravi Prakash Mehra said that on the intervening night of June 13-14, two persons were going to Madhya Pradesh with cattle from Bilkhanda intersection in Chittorgarh district. He told that those two persons were attacked by the mob. One of them, Babu Bhil (25), died during treatment in the hospital. The other injured has been identified as Pintu Bhil.

He said that seven-eight people have been detained by the Chittorgarh police in this regard and interrogation is being done. He said that the police would identify the accused in this case and take action at the earliest and the accused would be arrested. The Inspector General of Police of Udaipur and other top officials have reached the spot. Chittorgarh Police has registered a case against the accused on charges including murder.
