Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat resigns!

New Delhi: After the turmoil of the last three days, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat has offered to resign from the post of Chief Minister. Tirath Singh Rawat has cited constitutional crisis as the reason for offering his resignation. He made this offer by writing a letter to BJP President JP Nadda. Meanwhile, he also met with BJP National President JP Nadda.

In his letter to JP Nadda, he referred to Article 164-A of the Constitution and said that the Chief Minister was to become a member of the Legislative Assembly after six months, but Article 151 states that if one year is left for the assembly elections, then bye-elections cannot be held. He wants to resign so that no constitutional crisis should arise in the state.

Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar will go to Dehradun tomorrow as observers for the Uttarakhand Legislature Party meeting. At the same time, after landing at Jolly Grant Airport, Tirath Singh Rawat is reaching Raj Bhavan directly.

Let us tell you that the Uttarakhand assembly elections are to be held in 2022. According to media reports, Tirath Singh Rawat was called to Delhi by the BJP President. Apart from them, BJP leaders Satpal Maharaj and Dhan Singh Rawat were also called to Delhi. In Uttarakhand, Dhan Singh Rawat, Satpal Maharaj and Pushkar Dhami are ahead in the race to become the Chief Minister.

Tirath Singh Rawat was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand on 10 March. By September 10, it was mandatory for him to be elected as an MLA. The BJP high command can send Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar to Dehradun as observers for the Uttarakhand Legislature Party meeting.
