New Delhi: Amidst the Corona crisis and rising inflation, a big gift has been given by the central government to the central employees.

According to sources, the central government has increased the dearness allowance (DA) of central employees from 17 percent to 28 percent. That is, there has been a bumper increase of 11 percent in DA. This decision has been taken in the meeting of the Union Cabinet led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday.

Let us tell you that three installments of DA of central employees were yet to come. During the Corona crisis, DA was banned by the government. Now after increasing DA, bumper salary is expected to come from September.

The DA was stopped by the Central Government from January 1, 2020, amid the Corona crisis. Later it was stopped till July 1, 2021. But now that some decision has been taken in the Union Cabinet regarding DA, then from September the employees can get its benefit again.
