New Delhi: After running shramik special for migrant laborers, now Railways is preparing to run mail, express special trains across the country. These trains will run from 22 May. Ticket booking for the journey from these trains will be from IRCTC website from May 15. Which route the train will run on will be announced later.
According to the Railway Ministry, Mail Express Special trains will also run on the lines of Shramik and Rajdhani Special. Waiting tickets will also be issued in these trains, but Tatkal or Premium Tatkal tickets will not be issued.
Before this, Railways have started running 15 pairs of Rajdhani Special trains since May 12. These include Rajdhani special trains from New Delhi to Dibrugarh, Agartala, Howrah, Patna, Bilaspur, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, Secunderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Madgaon, Mumbai Central, Ahmedabad and Jammu-Tawi.
Railways had also issued some important guidelines for traveling in trains. According to this, all the passengers will be screened before the journey and it will be mandatory to put face cover. Passengers’ body temperature will also be checked. Travelers who are suffering from fever etc. will not be able to undertake this journey. Apart from this, any traveler who has any symptoms of Corona virus will not be allowed to travel.
