Complete lockdown on May 14 in Meerut

Meerut: Due to increasing cases of Corona virus in Meerut, there will be a complete lockdown from 12 pm. This decision has been taken in view of the emergency. Only milk shops will open till 10 am. All other shops, including grocery, will remain closed. DM Anil Dhingra has appealed to the people to cooperate. DM said that this system will remain for one day only. Significantly, the new vegetable in Meerut is the major reason for the spread of corona virus. Online food delivery will also be stopped. However, private hospitals will remain open. A lawsuit will be filed if no mask is found.

Only milk and medicine will be available

The district administration says that on Thursday, only medicine and milk shops will open only from 6:00 am to 10:00 am, in addition to this no other shops will open. All the shops including the fruit vegetable grocery will be completely closed tomorrow. Action will also be taken against whoever violates this complete lockdown. The district administration says that this step has been taken in view of the rising corona outbreak which will help in breaking the coronavirus chain. Tight security arrangements are also being made for the entire lockdown to be held tomorrow.

16 thousand 222 people under surveillance

In Meerut district, 16 thousand 222 people are under surveillance from the city to the countryside. At the same time, 316 samples are being examined every day. DM Anil Dhingra said in the press conference held at Bachat Bhavan that till Wednesday afternoon, 3,522 people in the district have completed home quarantine. DM told that monitoring committee has been formed in the district. Apart from this, teams have gathered information of 21 lakh people till now. So far, 6,132 samples have been investigated in the district, out of which 756 have come negative. SSP Ajay Sahni said that since the lockdown was implemented in the district, 2020 cases have been filed against 3567 persons who violated it. 1157 vehicles have been seized by challaning 36,910 vehicles. Along with this, a fine of about 7 lakh 85 thousand rupees has also been collected from those who break the lockdown.
