On Saturday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is expected to host a roadshow in Ghaziabad (December 25, 2021). The roadshow takes place at a time when the state government has reinstated a night curfew and other restrictions in response to an increase in COVID-19 cases. According to sources, the Chief Minister would participate in the Bharatiya Janata Party’s ‘Jan Vishwas Yatra,’ a roadshow to increase the party’s public outreach ahead of the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh next year.

On December 19, the yatra was inaugurated in six separate locations across Uttar Pradesh: Bijnor, Mathura, Jhansi, Ghazipur, Ambedkar Nagar, and Ballia. CM Yogi will attend the yatra, which will arrive in Ghaziabad on December 25, according to party sources. The 2-kilometer parade will begin at Kalka Garhi Chowk. The roadshow would travel to the Dudheshwar Nath temple from here. On Saturday evening, Yogi Adityanath is likely to join the roadshow.
With the chief minister’s visit in mind, extensive security precautions have been arranged. For the rally, more than 100 police officers have been deployed, with additional troops being summoned in from neighbouring districts. On Friday, Ghaziabad SSP Pawan Kumar and other officials supervised the roadshow’s path. According to Superintendent of Police (City-1) Nipun Agarwal, the region has been split into two zones and five sectors.
Following COVID-19 fears across the country, the state administration decided on Friday to implement a night curfew starting December 25. According to government orders, a night curfew will be imposed from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. on December 25. According to the ruling, marriages would be limited to 200 individuals. Every traveller entering the state from outside should be tracked, according to the Chief Minister. At airports, train stations, and bus stops, RTPCR testing should be performed. The CM praised the efforts of the Integrated COVID-19 Command Center (ICCC) and Monitoring Committees in COVID management and suggested that village and urban ward monitoring committees be reactivated as soon as possible so that tracing, testing, and treatment may begin.

According to the directive, the ICCC must be operational 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Health and Medical Education Department has been asked by CM Adityanath to assess the treatment facilities in all government and private medical institutes in the state. The hospitals have been given with necessary facilities, according to the Chief Minister. If a new requirement arises, the relevant equipment and resources should be made available as soon as possible. In addition, the Chief Minister has requested that the COVID Help Desk and Day Care Center in industrial units be reactivated. All public events, such as weddings, New Year’s Eve, and Christmas festivities, will be marked by the required adherence to COVID-19 guidelines.
