New Delhi: Bollywood’s desi girl Priyanka Chopra said that people should adopt online platforms as it not only gives the audience a chance to see different stories but it has also democratized the film industry. Priyanka, who made her digital debut this year with Netflix’s “The White Tiger”, said the online platform has made actors think outside of a prescribed way of doing Bollywood films.
Priyanka Chopra told reporters, “This is what you are seeing in Indian cinema, the freedom of the online platform is giving people a chance to think ahead in a prescribed way. There should be five songs and there should be a fight scene, all this now Now people want to tell good, true stories that they can feel connected to.”
She said, “It is wonderful because it gives an opportunity to new writers, actors, filmmakers to enter the industry, which has been dominated by a few elites for a long time. This is a good opportunity to move forward, especially for Indian cinema.”
