Mumbai: Brother of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim has been arrested. Iqbal Kaskar has been arrested under the action of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
This is considered a big action by the Mumbai team of NCB against Dawood Ibrahim’s D Company. Because Dawood’s brother has been directly arrested in this action. Iqbal Kaskar’s custody has been taken on production warrant in the drug case. Recently, two stocks of charas were recovered in an action by NCB. Some henchmen of Punjab used to bring these caches from Kashmir to Mumbai. These henchmen used to come from Kashmir to Mumbai by bike carrying drugs. A cache of about 25 kg of charas was recovered.
When the NCB recovered the caches of charas, the bureau got the news of the involvement of D Company in the matter. During interrogation and investigation, NCB not only came to know about the supply and sale of drugs, but also traces of Terror Funding from the proceeds of drugs. In this way, as soon as the connection of drugs, terror and underworld came to the fore in the investigation of NCB, NCB increased the speed of its investigation and in this sequence, Iqbal Kaskar was arrested in the drug case on Wednesday.
