The coronavirus infections in India have been rising like anything and thus, making India register more than a lakh cases daily over the last week. The Omicron variant spreads to each corner of the country. The fresh cases of infections have risen from about 1.8 lakh on Monday to almost 2.7 lakh cases on Saturday, this is according to the information available on the Union health ministry website.

Maha: Lull in Covid, Omicron cases, deaths again increase

Karnataka took over Delhi to rank in second place with 32,793 new infections and 7 deaths in a single day.
The national capital Delhi has also recorded the majority of coronavirus deaths. The capital’s January death toll has reached 228. The states have continued with weekend curfews and limitations to curb the spread of the virus. Almost 6,041 cases of Omicron have been found so far, which is a rise of 5.01% since Friday.
Muscle aches, fatigue, irritating throat, night sweats are some of the common symptoms of Omicron. Some of the standard suggestions to stop the spread of coronavirus disease includes consistent cleaning of hands using alcohol-based hand rub, soap water, etc. It also includes covering the nose and mouth with a flexed elbow or tissue that can be disposed of while sneezing and coughing, and not coming in close touch with anyone who has cough and fever.
