Impact of farmers movement: Adani Group issued advertisement, said- “Raise voice against this propaganda”

New Delhi: Ever since the farmers of the country have organized against the new agricultural law and have also targeted the corporate houses along with the government, the industry group Reliance and Adani are very upset with the government as well as Prime Minister Narendra Modi. And now, in the midst of the farmers’ agitation that has been going on for almost 25 days, the Adani Group has given a direct response. Adani Group has issued advertisements and appealed to people to raise their voice against the propaganda against agricultural laws.

In fact, after the introduction of the new agricultural law, farmers in other states including Punjab and Haryana fear that their land will be taken over by other corporate sectors like Adani Group. Farmers are scared about this and are constantly raising their voice against the center and corporate sector. Now the Adani Group has to explain through advertisements. In its Sunday advertisement, it has been written on behalf of the group, “Raise your voice against this propaganda.”

What are the charges

  • Adani buys grain directly from farmers and promotes hoarding.
  • Adani exploits farmers through contract farming.
  • Adani is acquiring agricultural land on a large scale.

Clarifications of the Adani group

  • Adani Grupa never buys land from farmers. We only offer our services to Food Corporation of India (FCI) to preserve food grains. There are other companies offering their services to FCI.
  • We work in the field of infrastructure and we have nothing to do with contract farming. The modern vertical granaries that we have created for FCI are only meant to provide protection to Kanak (wheat).
  • We have no objective of acquiring agricultural land. Whatever necessary land has been acquired by us, they have been made only for the construction of granary houses to preserve the FCI wheat in a modern and scientific manner.
