New Delhi: The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has extended the validity of vehicle documents till 31 March in view of curbing the spread of Kovid-19.
The Ministry today issued an advisory to the States and Union Territories in this regard, stating that the Ministry of Road Transport and Roadways had earlier extended the validity of documents relating to the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 and the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989, on March 30, The advisories were issued on 2020, 9 June 2020 and 24 August 2020.
It was suggested that the authenticity of fitness, permits (of all types), licenses, registration or any other documents be considered valid till 31 March. This will include all vehicle documents whose validity has expired on February 1 or will end by March 31.
