Petrol-diesel prices continue to rise

New Delhi: Despite the softening of crude oil in the international market, the trend in fuel prices at the domestic level continued for the 12th consecutive day. Today, petrol rose 39 paise to Rs 90.58 per liter in the capital Delhi and diesel rose 37 paise to Rs 80.97 per liter.

According to Indian Oil Corporation, a state-owned oil marketing company, petrol in the capital Delhi has increased by 39 paise and diesel by 37 paise per liter. Petrol and diesel prices have reached an all-time high. Currently, the prices of both fuels are running at the highest level in almost every city. In some cities it has even crossed the 100 rupee level.

The new year has not been good for petroleum fuels. So far in January and February, petrol became expensive for 24 days in total, but in such days it has become expensive by Rs 06.77. Along with petrol, the price of diesel is also on the way to record. Diesel has become costlier by Rs 07.10 per liter during 24 days in the new year.
