Google employees will go to office only 3 days a week

Due to the Corona epidemic, the trend of working from home increased worldwide and many companies are adopting the new hybrid model. Under the hybrid model, the employees of the company will have to work from office for a few days and some days they can do their own place of work i.e. work from home. The tech giant Google has also decided to adopt it. Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google and Alphabet, informed through a note that Google’s employees will work in the office three days a week and two days they will be able to work from the place of their choice. Pichai said that even after the office opens by the end of this year, about 20 percent of the employees of the company will continue to work from home, while 60 percent of the workers will work together in the office for a few days a week. To work completely from home, Google personnel will have to apply.

Pichai has said in his note that according to work, a worker may have to stay in the office for more than three days in a week. Based on the product area and function, it will be decided on which day the team will be present together in the office. The technical company will give its personnel the opportunity to apply for approval to work from home five days a week, depending on their role in the company and the needs of the team. After getting the approval of the manager, Google employees will be able to work in other locations from their main office for four weeks in a year.
