Edumpus, which is a social communications startup has developed an AI-driven career guidance platform for students in order to assist them in transitioning to their university life in a smoother manner, and that too for free.
After China, our country India ranks in the second number for sending our students to foreign countries. The government data shows that in 2019 there were almost 7,53,000 students from India who were studying abroad. However, there is still a lot of ambiguity about the entire procedure to travel and study abroad majorly because the industry continues to have many support functions and intermediaries.
Thus, two good friends from Kerala named Ajesh Raj and Basil Ali came together to set up Edumpus in 2019 to provide a solution for students in their university life challenges. The startup plans to bring about a change in the student recruitment industry just like how Amazon revolutionized the way goods are purchased. The startup aims to provide an aggregate of the courses that are available to ensure that students make informed decisions.
The idea struck them from their own experiences while they were doing their higher education in a foreign country. At each stage of their journey, the duo was facing some sort of challenge in the existing system. Thus, they thought to transform the student recruitment industry in order to make it easier for upcoming students who will be doing their higher education abroad.
The duo has created Edumpus in such a manner that it will act as a communication platform between students, universities, and consultants all over the world. As of now, the company has 500+ institutions from over 15 countries across the world and over 1,000 consultants from diverse parts of the Indian subcontinent, South Asia, and the MENA region.
