New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has canceled the 10th and 12th board examinations to be held from July 1 to 15. CBSE told this to the Supreme Court during the hearing on Thursday. On behalf of the board, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta gave this information to the Supreme Court.
The board also said that after improving the examination conditions, the 12th examination can be conducted. Tushar Mehta said that the 12th examination will be conducted for those students who want to take the exam. Tusshar Mehta also said that Delhi, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu have expressed inability to conduct the examination.
During the hearing, the Supreme Court asked if the students would be given the option of appearing in the examination later. On this, it was replied by the CBSE that this option will be for the students of 12th standard. At the same time, class 10 exams are being canceled. The 10th board examination was to be conducted for North-East Delhi only. These exams could not be completed due to the corona lockdown.
