You can still learn under trees

Due to coronavirus pandemic and lockdown restrictions, children in many parts of India continued their education through television, WhatsApp, online etc.

The move was to make our India digitally strong and never stop learning no matter what.

But here is a school in Ambdo village in Sehore district about 90 km from Bhopal, which is located under a neem tree.

Yes, you read it right! The lectures are held beneath that neem tree where 25 children sit on a red tarpaulin sheet spread on the ground.

51 years old teacher Kamla Gaur has took the initiative of running this unique school in her village on a recent Saturday.

In the current pandemic situation, schools and colleges are closed in Madhya Pradesh but still WhatsApp, and broadcast on All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan are being used by teachers of the government schools to reach out to their students.

However, a village like Ambdo doesn’t have the accessibility for children to avail such sort of education, thus giving education a new shape under a neem tree.

Old is still Gold, olden ways of education can still come handy when the new methods aren’t accessible.
