Wish these 3 things were taught to me before starting my career

I am currently in the 11th year of my content writing profession. The journey had been a roller-coaster ride with loads of good and bad things that happened to work with different companies of small scale and medium-scale. I never got an opportunity to work with a large-scale or MNC, so I really lack the knowledge and experience about how it works there. But all I can say is about my experience working with small setups.

I wish before starting my career, I was taught about these 3 wise and valuable things that would have helped me to sustain in my job for a longer duration. However, even if late, then below are some points that have made me a wise professional over a period of time, which I would like to share with you.

1) Never think you are the best or the worst:

In school and college, I was taught that the first three rank holders were the perfect people as they were really good with the grades and ahead of others in the rat race. When I started my first job, my boss used to taunt and criticize me so much that its trauma still lives in my head and pops up whenever I am sad. In the next job, I was made felt as if I am the best but I made such a big blunder that I was asked to leave the job. So, being the best and worst are two extremes that we should fall into. We need to accept our weaknesses and strengths as they are from our perspective and never buy what others are saying, even if the feedback comes from your boss or team leader.

2) Never lose hope:

After working with a small company for 5 years, I was so mentally exhausted that I felt my career was over and I won’t get a job ever. However, there were some other companies too who wanted me to get a job and work on their projects. So, remember one thing if one door closes, knock at other doors even if you can’t find them, there is and will always be one opportunity waiting for you.

3) Have faith and be patient:

It is a very easy statement but only the impulsive people know how it feels when someone asks them to wait. Only people who live in doubt know how much it pains when they are asked to believe in themselves and others. But we need to learn to trust the journey even if it feels like everything is against us.
