A teacher can come in the form of school teachers, college professors, parents, friends, among others. Teachers are really the stepping stones in a person’s successful life. 1) Remember that children or students respect you not for knowing everything but for being able to narrate to them and teach them what they cannot learn on their own.

2) As a teacher, your job is not just to teach from the books but in fact, share your experiences as you learn from the books various concepts of a subject. Always know that not all fingers of the hands are the same, and thus, not all children can get you easily at one go.

3) Patience is the ultimate virtue. Showing compassion and having patience in your job and in your interactions with the students will only help you win in the journey as a teacher.

4) It is okay to err. After all, you are also a human and hold no grudges or guilt for not knowing things that others may know. Just apologize and close the matter. Never let failures and mistakes come in the way of your lecturership job.

5) Students are the future of the country, so think that whatever you are doing for them is to ensure you along with the country have a good future. Never take too many things on your plate if you are unable to manage the same. Saying no or drawing boundaries doesn’t make you a bad teacher but a responsible person who knows their limitations.

6) Just do your work and do not worry about the results. Children’s parents may be anxious about the marks, grades but for you how much the student is performing in the class and implementing in his life, should matter and nothing else!
