Cucumber Chaas Recipe You Should Try At Home

This unique chaas is a great way to beat the heat in a delicious way.


300 gms curds (dahi) 1 Cup cucumber (grated or chopped) 4 tsp mint leaves , chopped 1 tsp cumin (jeera) powder 1/2 tsp red chilli powder or 2 green chillies Salt to taste coriander leaves (for garnish), grated


In a large jar, churn curds with a bit of water. Mix well to get froth. Add more water as required to make buttermilk. In a grinder, add the cucumber along with the mint and chilli (optional).

Blend to form a thick puree. Combine the plain buttermilk and the cucumber puree in a jar. Add the spices and churn again. Taste and adjust salt. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve chilled.
