Uttarakhand Assembly Elections, two days after the first list was released. According to the list, Harish Rawat, the former Chief Minister and the Congress’ election campaign in-charge, would run for Ramnagar. The 73-year-old had announced his intention to run in the constituency, which also happens to be his parental home, and received party clearance at a meeting of the Central Election Committee.

The news comes just a day after Uttarakhand Chief Minister and BJP leader Pushkar Singh Dhami said Rawat might not run in the Uttarakhand elections. Dhami stated that Rawat is attempting to distance himself from the polls, which is why he was not registered as a candidate.

Chand Ramola (Rishikesh), Barkha Rani (Jwalapur-SC), Virendra Kumar Jati (Jhabrera-SC), Subhasg Choudhary (Khanpur), Dr Antriksh Saini (Laksar), Anukriti Gusain Rawat (Landdowne), Sand (Kaladhungi) are all the names that are included in the second list for Uttarakhand assembly elections. .
