Yogi Adityanath-led government has strictly banned the loudspeakers and high decibel sounds from marriage and parties. The decision was taken after an order was issued from the supreme court.
One will have to take permission from the magistrate to play music or DJ in weddings and other functions. One will have to first appeal in the local police station and from there the application will be passed on to the magistrate, where the final approval will be placed.
“I had to run around for a wee to get the permission.” Said Siddharth Srivastava. He further added that Magistrate was not available most of the time thus it was a very tough task to get the permission, when asked about the absence the officials replied there are other important thing to do other than giving permissions for the music.
Another incident was reported where Sudhanshu Mishra failed to get permission for his wedding on 4th December. His friends played guitar to make up for party.
The band business has been adversely affected after the pandemic. This is another issue apart from permissions. According to the information received Deepraj a local band player said that business has been affected a lot, and they have to face a lot of financial cricis. He further added that the demand during the wedding season exceeds the supply, where large numbers are taking place.
