They, along with another person, gang-raped her for two days, tied her hands and feet to a rope, inserted an iron rod in her private parts and left her packed in a bag on a road in Ghaziabad. She has been admitted to a hospital in Delhi in a critical state.
New Delhi: The Ghaziabad police has received a notice from the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) in connection with the brutal gangrape of a 38-year-old woman. The head of the commission said that the incident reminded her of the Nirbhaya incident.
According to reports, the woman was found unconscious in a jute bag with her hands and legs tied and an iron rod inserted in her private parts. She was a resident of Delhi.
The incident occurred on October 16 when she was waiting for an auto rickshaw in Ghaziabad. She wanted to attend the birthday function of her brother. Four men four her to sit in a SUV. They, along with another person, gang-raped and tortured her for two days, the commission said.
She has been admitted to a hospital in Delhi. Her condition is “very critical,” the commission said. The notice was sent to the senior superintendent of police, Ghaziabad, seeking a detailed report of the action taken by the police and the number of arrests made in this connection. According to DCW chief Maliwal, the incident is horrific and disturbing, which reminds her of the Nirbhaya case. She asked the police to arrest all the accused and take stringent action against them.
