A strong initiative has been taken by the Yogi-led Uttar Pradesh government to ensure the exposure of its policy and good governance that could reach the minimal section of the society. The UP government has now decided to hold Gram Chaupals in order to monitor development schemes.
The rural development department will focus on at least three villages in every district, each Saturday, to review the advancement of rural projects in the state.
According to the information received the Rural development commissioner G.S. Priyadarshi said that the department would issue a formal notice soon to the respective villages.
Following this, the officer added that going to villages and anchoring sessions of village chaupals would help the administration to get the fact check at the grass root level.
The Gram Chaupals will be accompanied by videography. According to the sources, the administration has decided to nominate officials from the block development to review the loopholes in the several schemes at the ground level.
The step will further help villagers to get the advantage of various government schemes like the PM Awas Yojana Rural (PMAYR), CM Awas Yojana, and the application of MLA Local Area Development (MLALAD) funds.
