Samajwadi Party Protests in Lucknow Against Inflation

During the special session of the UP assembly in Lucknow on Monday, Samajwadi Party MLAs demonstrate against rising inflation by holding black balloons and demanding the dismissal of Ajay Kumar Mishra “Teny” Minister of State for Home Affairs of India, over the Lakhimpur violence in front of Vidhan Bhawan. MLAs from the Samajwadi Party protested inflation, rising fuel, LPG cylinder costs, and unemployment outside Vidhan Bhavan in Uttar Pradesh on Monday.

Akhilesh Yadav, the head of the Samajwadi Party and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, also took to Twitter to attack the BJP, saying they will have to face the wrath of the people in the forthcoming state assembly. Akhilesh Yadav, the president of the Samajwadi Party, criticized the BJP administration on Sunday for rising fuel, diesel, and LPG prices. “Petrol prices have surpassed Rs 100 per litre in a lot of locations, forcing the populace to pay more for everything. The cost of diesel and LPG cylinders has risen as well. Is there any response from them? “he said.

He also slammed the BJP-led administration, claiming that the state requires a ‘yogya’ (competent) government rather than a Yogi one. He also said the BJP “had no job to do” other than changing names, speaking to reporters at the party’s headquarters here. “It prefers to fill pockets rather than potholes.” He stated, “Uttar Pradesh requires a yogya (competent) government, not a Yogi government.”

He spoke after RS Kushwaha, the former Uttar Pradesh head of the Bahujan Samaj Party, and Kadir Rana, a former MP, joined the SP. Yadav repeated his party’s demand for a caste census, claiming that while the Congress was in control at the national level, Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav), RJD president Lalu Prasad Yadav, and Sharad Yadav sought one.

He also dismissed accusations of Samajwadi Party factionalism, claiming that the BJP will not award tickets to 150 MLAs in the 2022 elections. SP would win 400 of the 403 seats in the UP Assembly, according to Yadav. The BJP administration, he said, is “anti-farmer.” “Both the state of Uttar Pradesh and the federal government have misled the public (people). The fact is that no one is employed “Yadav explained.
