Lucknow. After the results of the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections 2022 and yogi’s drive against some Muslim MLAs; there is growing displeasure among Muslim leaders about Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo Akhilesh Yadav. Now Maulana Shahabuddin Rizvi, the national general secretary of All India Tanzeem Ulema-e-Islam, has advised Muslims in the state to consider alternatives other than SP. He said that there is a big difference between Mulayam Singh Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav’s SP. Along with this, he alleged that Akhilesh Yadav not only avoided but also hated Muslims with beards and caps during the election campaign in quest of non-Yadav, Hindu votes.

Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi said, ‘Muslims should now stop taking the contract of secularism and talk afresh about their politics and their participation. As long as they live on the support of a particular party, they will get nothing. Muslims should make a new strategy now.

Giving advice to the Muslims, Maulana said, ‘Now there are new circumstances and there are new demands. In view of this, alternatives other than the Samajwadi Party should be considered and enmity should not be bought by being vocal against any party.

He says, ‘I had warned Muslims during the election that Akhilesh Yadav is not a friend of Muslims. He tried to keep behind the big Muslim faces everywhere and kept campaigning alone. There is a difference in land and sky between Mulayam Singh Yadav’s and Akhilesh Yadav’s Samajwadi Party. So Muslims should discuss and strategize about other political alternatives.
