The incident that took place at Bhadaicha village in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh created panic in the area. Superintendent of police Rajesh Dwivedi, who rushed to the spot said the exact reason behind in the violence and murder could not be learnt. Locals said a dispute between two families over a piece of land was the reason for the violence.
Hardoi (UP): A dispute between two families over a piece of land led to the killing of a man and his son at Bhadaicha village in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh, the police said on Thursday. Members of both the families used sticks and fire-arms to attack one another. Three other persons of the family and a neighbour were injured in the incident.
On getting information about the incident, the police rushed to the spot, arrested the main accused and confiscated his licensed gun. There was a dispute between Babu Singh and Guddu Singh over the land adjacent to their house. According to reports when Babu Singh was talking to one of his family members standing outside his residence, a member of Guddu Singh’s family passed by them.
Immediately after that, an altercation took place between the two families who began to hurl abuses at one another.
Meanwhile, Guddu Singh reached the spot with his son Saurabh, Raman and nephew Rajan. Guddu was carrying his licensed gun. They beat up Babu Singh, his son Lucky Singh Shivam, and his wife Renu with sticks. Guddu suddenly fired about five rounds from his licensed gun. Other members of his family used illegal fire-arms. Both Babu and his son died on the spot. The wife of Babu, his other son, daughter and a neighbour Rajendra Singh also sustained injuries in the incident.
On getting information, superintendent of police Rajesh Dwivedi and his team rushed to the spot and said that the exact reason behind in the murders could not be learnt. Locals, however, said that a dispute over a piece of land was the reason behind the violence.
