Noida (UP): A huge fire erupted in a multi-storeyed plastic factory at sector 3 in Noida on Monday, the police said on Monday. Fourteen fire engines swung into action to quench the flames. A huge column of black smoke, emanating from the factory like a serpent, could be seen from a long distance. As there were several plastic items in the factory, the fire spread quickly and soon engulfed the entire building, the police further said.
The reason for the fire could not be learnt. As the firemen were struggling to douse the flames, the loss the factory incurred because of the fire could not be estimated, the police said.
To extinguish the fire, the firemen evacuated the other offices adjacent to the plastic factory. There was no casualty, the police further said.
