Noida (UP): Four notorious criminals fell into the police dragnet after a brief encounter near sector-58 in Noida, official sources said on Sunday. Three of the four criminals sustained injuries during the encounter, and one of their accomplices had escaped because of the darkness, but he, too, was arrested. As more than 60 cases, including theft, robbery and murder, were registered against these criminals, the police were searching for them.
When the cops came to know that the criminals were near the service road in sector 58, a team headed for the spot. As soon as the four criminals saw the police party, they began to fire at the cops who retaliated and surrounded the criminals from all sides. And in the process, three criminals sustained severe injuries. The criminals have been identified as Golu, Jagat and Manish. Forty-five cases have been registered against one of the felons.
The police seized three 315 bore country-made guns, several live cartridges, three motorcycles, an auto rickshaw without a number plate, a knife and seven mobile phones from their possession. One of the criminals, Golu, had served jail term in connection with a murder case, the police said.
