His throat was slit and his body burnt with acid
Muzaffanagar (UP): Thirty-year-old Javed, a brickkiln worker, never knew that he had to pay with his life for demanding wages.
The incident came to light after his acid-burnt body was found in a cane field in Ghadi village.
The worker had gone missing since Sunday. Those who were working with him began to search for him along with his family members. When they did not find, they lodged a complaint at the police station.
His wife Reshma complained that the murderers had slit his throat before disposing him of and burnt his body with acid, so that none could identify him.
When the police search for the missing worker, they found his acid-burnt body in a cane field in Ghadi village in Muzaffarnagar district of Uttar Pradesh, the police said.
According to the police, the labour contractor polished him off and threw his body into the cane field, after Javed had demanded his wages.
On the grounds of the complaint of Javed’s wife, the police booked the contractor Nitin Prajapati and his two chums Manohar and Abid, the police said.
According to a police official, Javed’s body was discovered from the cane field on Tuesday.
Reshma further said that her husband had to pay with his life for demanding his wages. An inquiry into the case was going on.
