Before taking the extreme step, the youth made a video clip, saying that although he had fallen in love with a woman, he never had a physical relationship with her. The woman was blackmailing him by lodging a complaint at the police station.
Pilibhit (UP): A rape accused committed suicide in Pilibhit district of Uttar Pradesh ten days ago after making a video clip which says that he had been implicated in a false case. The incident came to light after the video clip went viral on social media.
The accused Narendra Kumar was found hanging from a tree in Bhauriayi village, Pilibhit, on October 8.
According to the video clip, the accused Narendra Kumar claimed that although he had fallen in love with the woman, he never had a physical relationship with her. In another video clip, he is seen tying the noose around his neck. He is also heard saying that the woman had been stalking him.
Narendra Kumar is also heard saying that the woman had filed a complaint at a police station against him, for which he had to hide in a sugarcane field where he had spent a week. He further said that he was in a bad state and that the woman and her family should tender an apology to his family as he was forced to take such an extreme step.
Narendra’s father Sewa Ram lodged a complaint against the woman, saying that his son was under tremendous pressure because she was blackmailing him. He further said that as he had no options, he made the video clip and a note viral on social media.
On the grounds of the video clip and the suicide note, the Pilibhit police registered an FIR against the woman and eight others.
