Biscuit of Rs 2 being distributed instead of vegetable-rice, the big game going on in nexus of NGO and school principal There is a lot of rigging in the scheme’s name to provide nutritious food to children in government schools. School principals and NGOs are going to embezzlement of government scheme money. The problem is that different biscuits are being distributed to the children in the school from the fixed menu. This scam has been exposed in the investigation of the Meerut divisional level team.

The team that reached the spot, after investigating the schools, colluded in the name of Mid-Day Meal and made many more shocking revelations of disturbances. To investigate the mid-day meal, the divisional level team suddenly reached many schools of the Meerut development area on Tuesday. Amar Veer Singh and Virendra Kumar, who were in the team, said that many irregularities were found in Jai Kisan Inter College, Poothi.

Here food is provided to the children from the kitchen of Balaji Seva Sansthan Dungar NGO located in Mawana. Vegetable rice was to be given to the children on Tuesday, but when the team reached for inspection, a packet of Parle G Biscuit worth ₹ 2 was being distributed to the children. 

Virendra Kumar said that milk has never been distributed to the children in the school. Mid-day meal divisional coordinator Virendra Kumar said that all the disturbances are spread in the school. During the investigation, it was found that the distribution of food grains given to the children during the lockdown period has not been done yet. 

He said that the children were given food grains for the first 76 days, then for 49 days and 124 days, which has not been distributed. He said that in total, a child was to get 37 kg 350 grams of food grains. While Rs 1849 was also given per child for the same period, it has not been distributed in the school. 

Virendra Kumar said that even records could not be made available from the schools’ side for investigation. He said that on Tuesday, 21 kg 750 grams of food grains were to be given to the children in the school. At the same time, the conversion cost was fixed at ₹1080.

During the investigation, 145 children were present in the school, to whom only biscuits worth Rs 290 were distributed at the rate of ₹ 2. 

He said that in Parikshitgarh’s Sanvilian School Poothi, Primary School No. 2 Putthi, food grains have been grabbed by the village head in both these schools. The school was not made available even after being demanded by the headmaster. Apart from this, disturbances have also been found in Primary School Lodhi Pura Canal-Jhal and Primary School Khadki.

The teams that reached the spot to investigate the mid-day meal have found all the disturbances in the schools. The children of Jai Kisan Inter College said that only biscuits are being distributed since the period of opening of the school after the lockdown. Whereas for classes 1 to 5 by the NGO, the government has fixed 100 grams of food grains, wheat, and rice according to the menu and the change cost of ₹ 4.97 paise per child.

According to the menu, for classes 6 to 8, 150 grams of food grains wheat and rice, and the conversion cost has been fixed at ₹ 7.45 paise per child per day. He said that a complete investigation would be done regarding the irregularities found, and the report would be sent to the government.
