Prayagraj (UP): The police arrested a 16-year-old and her boy friend for killing her 12-year-old younger brother in the industrial area in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj district, official sources said on Friday.
The girl hatched a conspiracy to liquidate her brother with the help of her boy friend and his accomplice, because he had objected to the girl’s relationship with the boy, sources said. The boy also threatened to disclose their affair to the parents. The girl studied up to class 5 and fell in love with a 17-year-old boy, a student of class 9. Her brother was a student of class 5.
According to superintendent of police Saurabh Dixit, the police have arrested the three juveniles including the girl for strangling her brother to death. The boy got a dressing down from her father for eating non-vegetarian food during Pitra Paksha. After that, the girl took him to an isolated house on the pretext of saving him from his father’s anger and murdered him there.
As both the children went missing, their parents began to search for them. They came across their son lying unconscious on the flood of a kutcha house and the girl sitting in a corner. They rushed the boy to a hospital where the doctors said the boy had died on way to hospital. When the family members and the police questioned the girl said that two youths had beaten up her brother and escaped. Nevertheless, when the police strictly quizzed the girl, she confessed to having killed her brother. An FIR was registered against the trio two boys and the girl. All were sent to a juvenile home.
