Ramayana University to be set up on 21 acres in Ayodhya

Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath’s UP government to set up the Ramayana University in Ayodhya within 100 days. For this, an agreement will be made with Maharishi Vidyapeeth Trust. About 21 acres of land have been finalised by the trust for the university. Similarly, Ayodhya Shodh Sansthan will publish and release 10 texts under the Global Encyclopedia of the Ramayana on the occasion of Ram Navami. These courses and books will help to bring science and spirituality together to arouse interest in Ramanyna teachings in the public.

Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh, while reviewing the 100-day action plan on Friday, said that there should be no negligence in this. He said that under the 100-day action plan, Bhoomi Pujan will be held in Lucknow in May for the establishment of the Tribal Museum. The inauguration of the newly constructed building of Kabir Academy, Maghar is also included in the 100-day action plan.

Similarly, under the Adopt Heritage Policy, nine state-protected monuments are planned to be made memorial friends through the expression of interest. The Tourism Minister said that under the State Archeology Department of Culture Department, an action plan would be prepared for the re-use of protected monuments Chhatar Manzil and Farhat Baksh Kothi with Aga Khan Trust for Culture New Delhi. The archaeological aptitude course will be organized in June, 2022. Apart from this, new courses will also be started at Bhatkhande State Culture University.

Crafts and artwork sales center will also be established in the State Lalit Kala Akademi. Apart from this, Manuscript Resource Center will be established by Uttar Pradesh State Archives under the scheme of the Indira Gandhi National Center for the Arts, Government of India. Under the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi, 10 books based on the life and contribution of known and unknown martyrs will be published.

Principal Secretary Tourism and Culture Mukesh Meshram informed the Minister about the various schemes of the Culture Department. Director Information and Culture Shishir said that every effort would be made to encourage local arts, cuisine, costumes, folklife, handicrafts, music, folk songs etc. along the lines of one district one product scheme.

Earlier, the State govt has completed the lease agreement for the development of Ayodhya international airport. Various developmental works like the outer ring road and Ram Mandir corridor along with the construction of Ram Mandir is going on in full swing in Ayodhya.
