We will not back ovar CAA and Article 370, syas PM Modi

Varanasi: Amid political protests over the Citizenship Amendment Act and protests in different parts of the country including Shaheen Bagh, PM Narendra Modi has made it clear that he will uphold this decision completely. After handing over Rs 1,200 crore on his second visit to Varanasi, his parliamentary constituency after becoming the Prime Minister for the second time, the PM said that these decisions (CAA, Article 370) were necessary, yet despite all the pressures we took these decisions. I assure you that we will continue with these decisions.

Referring to the CAA, Narendra Modi said, ‘We were able to take decisions that were stalled for a long time. Whether article 370 or CAA, we took such decisions even after all the pressures. I assure you that these decisions will continue. Home Minister Amit Shah has also repeatedly said that the government will not back down on the CAA issue. Demonstrations are going on in many parts of the country, like Shaheen Bagh in Delhi, against the CAA and NRC.

Referring to the Ram temple, Narendra Modi said, ‘The subject of the Ram temple was entangled in courts for decades. Now the way of temple construction has been done. The government has announced the creation of a trust, which will oversee the construction of the temple. Another major decision related to the Ram temple in Ayodhya has been made. The 67 acres of acquired land will also be transferred to the trust itself. Soon the grand Ram temple will be ready in Ayodhya.

After becoming Prime Minister again, Narendra Modi reached Varanasi for the second time, reached Jangamwadi Math. He then unveiled a 63-feet-tall statue of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay at the stop of Chandauli. PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of schemes worth about Rs 1200 crore in Varanasi. He also flagged off the Kashi-Mahakal Express connecting Kashi to Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar.
