New Delhi: Efforts are on to open the closed main road in Shaheen Bagh for more than 2 months. Two Supreme Court-appointed interlocutors Sanjay Hegde and Sadhana Ramachandran reached Shaheen Bagh for the second consecutive day on Thursday, but with no results.

Both the negotiators reached Shaheen Bagh around 4 pm. The negotiators said that they also want the issue of Shaheen Bagh to remain intact. Apart from here, there should be a demonstration somewhere else in the Shaheen Bagh area, but the protesters were adamant about not moving from their place. Now the negotiators will arrive on Friday and talk separately to a group of 10-15 women.

Advocate and negotiator Sadhana Ramachandran tried to convince the protesters that he had full sympathy with them. He said, ‘What is your real pain, what are you saying, we are coming to hear and understand. We can’t see your suffering. ‘ Ramachandran explained to the agitators that if the matter did not work then the case would again go to the Supreme Court. He said, ‘Our belief is to try. If after all efforts are not made, the case will again go to the Supreme Court, then we will have no choice and then the government will do whatever it wants.
