Meerut: The dog trainers and municipal officials have warned people against keeping pitbull, but their advice seemed to have fallen on deaf ears. One month has passed since a Pitbull killed an 82-year-old woman, but another incident of Pitbull attack was reported from Meerut district of Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. The dog attacked and injured a teenager who was rushed to a hospital.

The boy whom the dig attacked was identified as Salim. The incident occurred when he was working at shop in Mawana. A man called Saurabh owns the shop. No sooner had Salim finished his work and was about to leave the shop than the canine tied to the gate pounced upon him and cut his face and throat. On hearing the cries of Salim, some locals rushed to the spot and used a screwdriver to open the mouth of the canine to free the boy. The dog also attacked its owner’s son when he tried to control it. In the aftermath of the incident, the owner fled from the scene. According to circle officer Uday Pratap Singh, he has informed the sub-divisional magistrate about the incident and begun to search for the owner of the Pitbull.
