Saharanpur (UP): The wheels of a truck crushed a 52-year-old man and his 25-year-old daughter on the national highway near Phandpuri area in the Saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh on Monday. The accident occurred when the two-wheeler, which Adesh Kumar was driving with her daughter sitting behind him, came under the wheels of a truck, superintendent of police (rural) Suraj Rai said.

Rai further said that Kumar had died on the spot. His daughter who was profusely bleeding because of the injuries she had sustained was rushed to a hospital, but she did not survive. The truck driver ran away, but police seized the truck and were searching for him. According to reports, the truck was running on high speed.
