Idol damaged in UP village, residents angry

Kaushambi: There is resentment among the residents of Kura Muridan village under Saini police station in Kaushambi district of Uttar Pradesh after a band of unidentified miscreants damaged an idol of Goddess Kali installed on a mound outside the hamlet, the police said on Sunday.

According to station house office Bhuvnesh Kumar Choubey, the anti-social elements damaged the idol. When the residents came to know about it, they were angry and lodged a complaint at the police station, Choubey said, adding that they police launched a search for the criminals.
