Former UGC chairman becomes UP’s education adviser

Lucknow: Former chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Dhirendra Singh has been appointed as the education adviser of the UP government, sources said on Sunday. Singh was UGC chairman from 2018-2021.

He was the vice-chancellor of the Banaras Hindu University, Dr HS Gaur Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar (MP) and Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore (MP). He was the director of the National Assessment of Accreditation Council (NAAC).
