Fear of Corana virus reached Noida , 2 schools closed

Noida: The dreaded corona virus which has become an epidemic in China has now knocked in Noida as well. Two private schools in the city were closed on Tuesday and the examinations were postponed. The father of a student studying in school has been found infected with the corona virus. A message sent by the school to parents on Tuesday morning said that the exams were postponed due to ‘urgent reasons’, although there would be board examinations.

District Magistrate B.N. Singh said that a team of Health Department led by the Chief Health Officer of Noida reached the school for inspection at around 12.15 am. Sources in the Ministry of Health said that in the meantime, some members of the family of the infected person have been admitted to Safdarjung Hospital after showing similar symptoms.

Sources said that some of his other relatives have been told to stay apart, at home. He said that a person resident of Mayur Vihar who worked as an accountant for the infected person and some others have been sent to Safdarjung Hospital for examination. Other people close to the infected person are being traced.

According to information received from the Health Department, a resident of Delhi who recently returned from Italy was found infected.
