Chairperson of National Commission for Women reached Zafrabad
New Delhi: Today is the first Friday after the violence in the capital Delhi. In view of this, the administration is on alert today. Heavy security forces are deployed in the violence areas. Although there has been no news of violence since the evening of 26 February, but people are still scared of what happened in Delhi in the past. So far 42 people have died in the violence. There are 215 people injured. At the same time, Rekha Sharma, Chairperson of the National Commission for Women, visited the violence-hit area of North East Delhi along with two of her fellow members.
In view of the prayers, heavy security forces have been deployed in Khajuri Khas and Dayalpur areas of violence-hit North East District of Delhi. There is peace in the area. However, the markets are not open yet. Delhi Police has handed over the investigation of the riots to the Crime Branch and has constituted two Special Investigation Teams (SITs) to investigate the cases.
National Women’s Commission Chairperson Rekha Sharma along with two of her fellow members visited the violence-hit area of North East Delhi. He met the women and assured them that nothing will go wrong with you now.
National Women’s Commission Chairperson Rekha Sharma visited the Zafarabad area to meet the women here. He has said, “There is a little tension here but there is peace in the whole atmosphere. I will come to this area once again tomorrow and will appeal to everyone to keep encouraging and peace in the changed atmosphere today and tomorrow.”
