New Delhi: The outbreak of Corona virus is threatening not only China but also other countries of the world. This is the reason why many countries have stopped flights to and from China. Now in India, the state-run Air India Airlines has also banned flights to China for three months due to the threat of Corona virus. That is, the flights of Air India will not go to China till the end of June.

Earlier, Air India canceled its flights to Shanghai from 31 January to 14 February and Hong Kong from 7 February to 28 March.

On Thursday, an Air India spokesperson said, “Flights to Shanghai and Hong Kong have been canceled until June 30.” Let us know that a flight goes between Air India and Hong Kong every day, while there is a flight between Delhi to Shanghai 6 times a week.

Apart from this, flights of IndiGo and SpiceJet also go to China and Hong Kong. But even after February, these airlines have not made any comment about banning flights to China. IndiGo has canceled flights to Delhi-Chengdu, Bangalore-Hong Kong and Kolkata-Guangzhou flights.

Hong Kong’s flag carrier Cathay Pacific has reduced the number of flights to India from 49 to 36 per week by March 20, 2020. On the other hand, in the midst of dwindling travel demand, the daily reduction in flights is beyond this. While Shandong Airlines and Air China have canceled flights to India. China Southern has also reduced its number of flights.

Singapore Airlines and its regional carrier SilkAir have also ‘temporarily reduced the services of all their networks in view of dwindling demand due to Kovid-19’. Due to this, the number of flights of Singapore Airlines to Mumbai and Silkair to Kochi has also been reduced in March. Talk about cancellated flights, the flights of Singapore-Mumbai (SQ 426) on 7, 14, 21, 28 and Mumbai-Singapore (SQ 425) routes were canceled for 8, 15, 22 and 29 March. is. Silkair’s Singapore-Kochi (MI 462) and Kochi-Singapore (MI 461) routes were canceled for 18 days in March.

The new virus corona, which is of the same style as SARS, came in 2003. It was first reported in the news of outbreak of WHO disease in Wuhan, China on 5 January. Till now it has spread to many countries. However, the new virus has spread at a much faster rate than the 2003 SARS pandemic. To curb the spread of the virus, Chinese authorities have shut down transport services in many parts of the country, including Wuhan.
